General Terms and Conditions

This page is a courtesy English translation. The German-language Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen is the legally binding version under Austrian law.

1. General

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all legal transactions with clients of Naturheilpraxis Baden (Manuel Seiler) and take effect when an appointment is made by telephone, email or online booking. Other general terms and conditions do not apply. Changes to these terms are reserved; the version available at www.naturheiltherapeut.at at the time the contract is concluded is authoritative.

2. Prices

Services rendered are to be transferred to the specified account without deduction within 7 working days of receipt of the invoice. Services paid for in advance (e.g. vouchers) cannot be refunded.

Billing is based on each commenced 60 minutes for the initial consultation and each commenced 30 minutes for follow-up appointments. If a session exceeds the agreed time, each additional time block begun is charged at the full rate.

3. Appointments

Appointments can be made by email, by telephone or via the online booking portal. An initial consultation takes about 90–110 minutes; follow-up appointments usually 30–60 minutes. Appointment requests are only fixed once confirmed. If you arrive late, the full agreed session price will still be charged.

4. Cancellation terms

Appointments that cannot be kept must be cancelled in writing or by telephone at least 48 hours in advance. In the event of late cancellation or non-attendance, the full fee will be charged.

5. Vouchers and discount promotions

Vouchers are handed over in person or sent by email. The voucher amount must be paid in advance when issued. To redeem a voucher, please mention it when booking and bring or show it at the appointment.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. If the agreed appointment cannot be kept, it must be cancelled in accordance with the deadlines set out in section 4 (cancellation terms); if cancellation is not made in time, the voucher is deemed redeemed and loses its validity. Cash payment of the voucher value is excluded.

Discount promotions cannot generally be combined with other discount promotions or vouchers.

6. Note on the methods used

I am currently still completing my training as a naturopathic therapist – I look forward to supporting you as a naturopathic practitioner from September 2027.

The services offered are methods of naturopathic empirical medicine. They are not among the generally recognised methods of conventional medicine and do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment; I expressly do not advise against accompanying conventional medical treatment. Cooperation with conventional medicine is important to me. Statements on effectiveness are based on many years of practical experience and on the findings of other therapists, not exclusively on conventional clinical studies. No promises of healing are made — all information serves general education.

I act in accordance with the VNKÖ Code for Naturopathic Therapists (German).

7. Disclaimer

I do not carry out diagnoses, therapies or treatments in the medical-scientific sense. My work as a naturopathic therapist is understood as instructive support that helps to rediscover or regain healthy regulatory capacity in the broadest sense and to strengthen the body's own self-healing powers. My analyses, advice and treatments cannot and do not intend to replace a medical examination and treatment. Ongoing medical treatment should therefore neither be interrupted nor discontinued, necessary treatment should not be delayed or omitted, and medication prescribed by a doctor should not be stopped on your own initiative. Cooperation with conventional medicine is very important to me. I make no promises of healing whatsoever.

The methods presented on my websites are so-called non-conventional treatment and diagnostic methods. They are not generally recognised scientifically, and naturopathic treatment cannot replace necessary, scientifically based medical treatment — in my personal experience, however, the reverse can also apply to some health concerns. The measures presented on my pages are not offered by conventional statutory health insurance or conventional medicine.

All statements on the possibilities, properties, effects and indications of the preparations and therapies presented are based on findings and experience from my own practice and from other naturopaths and doctors who use these methods. These observations are based on laboratory tests and on patient and therapist experience from daily practice in the respective therapeutic field; they are not shared by established, generally recognised conventional medicine or science. Neither I nor you as a patient should be given the impression that the complaints or illnesses mentioned can be cured by using the preparations described. Natural remedies and food supplements never replace the use of medicines or a visit to a doctor.

The products presented are predominantly herbal preparations, food supplements or remedies from alternative medicine — not pharmacologically active medicinal products in the conventional medical sense. This does not rule out using their nutritional-physiological effect supportively as part of a therapy; however, they cannot replace medical therapy or pharmacologically active medicines.

On these pages I present areas of application of research findings on individual substances or forms of therapy. There is no recognition by conventional medicine, which requires placebo-controlled clinical studies, for the effect of these remedies and substances; competition law obliges me to point this out expressly. Within your own therapy, it is up to you to decide whether you wish to consider certain substances as part of naturopathic or nutritional support on the basis of in-vitro studies, animal experiments or positive observations of use in humans. This notice excludes any misleading impression; you can decide individually, if appropriate together with me or your doctor, whether and how you wish to incorporate certain substances into your therapy concept as support. If in doubt, please ask your treating doctor.

Known conditions such as allergies, physical limitations, a pacemaker or pregnancy must be disclosed to me before treatment. Liability for damage arising from undisclosed or unrecognisable exclusion criteria is excluded.

Costs for naturopathic services are generally not covered by statutory health insurance; I also point out to privately insured patients that certain medicines and food supplements are generally not reimbursed either. If necessary, please check with your insurer yourself.

The information on all my pages has been selected and compiled with the greatest possible care; no liability is accepted for its accuracy, completeness or timeliness, or for damage caused by its use or by computer viruses. No legal warning without prior contact: should any content on this website infringe the rights of third parties or legal provisions, I ask for a brief, free notification and guarantee to remove justifiably objected passages immediately, without the need to involve legal counsel. I will reject costs incurred without prior contact.
